A yogic or sattvic diet involves eating fresh, local foods that are thoughtfully prepared and enjoyed. Think of it as the counter balance to fast-paced, fast food.
This way of eating is the perfect companion to a yoga practice. It promotes mindfulness by inviting us to present to how and what we eat. Paying attention to how food makes us feel, not just in the gut, but in our mind and our heart. When we do, we naturally support a healthy body and happy head.
