A woman is told in a million different ways that if she finds herself alone at middle age it means she is unlovable, unattractive, unappealing, unsexy. But what if it means she is independent, self-entertaining, free-spirited, and self-possessed?

I have fond childhood memories of going to the Angel Stadium with my dad. He loved baseball and his enthusiasm for anything was contagious. Swept in the memory of a simpler time, I checked the box with a “heck yeah” I’ll volunteer!

Before entering the field of therapy, among a variety of careers, I was a whole/living foods chef. I use the term “chef” loosely, as I was really just a passionate self-taught, health-nut who was lucky enough to get paid to do what she loved.
